The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a post Graduate Programme affiliated to Bangalore University, started in the year 2003 and approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The course was designed with the objectives of providing a modern, industry-oriented education in applied computer science so that the students can compete in the present-day global situation. In the span of four semesters, students are well equipped with programming skills, analytical ability and strong knowledge in the field.

Programme Objectives :
• Provide a strong foundation in core areas of Computer Science
• Impart knowledge of latest developments in the field of IT
• Identify research gaps and provide innovative solutions
• Adhere to social, ethical, and cyber values


Programme Specific Outcomes:
In the span of six semesters, the students are well equipped with programming skills, analytical ability, research skills and strong knowledge in the domain. The students will be able to:
• Analytical and critical thinking abilities to solve real time problems
• Design, develop and maintain software applications for different verticals
• Ability to communicate ideas and solutions and work in a collaborative manner
• Amenable to life-long learning of new tools and technology
