Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History, Economics, Sociology (HECOS)
The B.A. programme is an in-depth undergraduate course designed to provide students with a comprehensive and Holistic education in the humanities, social sciences, and related disciplines. The programme emphasizes critical thinking, creativity and interdisciplinary learning, equipping students with the academic and professional knowledge and skills needed for success.
Through a combination of core subjects, electives, and skill-based courses, the BA programme fosters intellectual growth, ethical reasoning, and cultural awareness. Students gain a deep understanding of their chosen disciplines, such as History, Economics, Sociology. while also acquiring transferable skills in research, communication, analysis, and problem-solving.

It also provides a strong foundation for further studies in areas such as law, management, and social work.

• Pass in P.U.C or any other examination recognized as equivalent by Bengaluru City University.
• Minimum of 50% marks for Karnataka Students and 60% marks for outside students (aggregate) in the qualifying examination Application for admission to college must be in the prescribed form.

2. To train students in basic economic theory, build analytical &quantitative skills to explore dimensions of real-world issues, problem solving and policy responses.
3. To gain a deep understanding of how economic forces shape societies over time, influenced by social structures and historical contexts.
After the successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
