Topic : Investment Options For Senior Citizens
Abstract : Senior citizens plan for their investment avenues with the available bulk of funds that arise at the time of retirement .The investment options are wide and vivid but choosing a cash cow seems to be the bone of contention. Accordingly there arises a need to select the best investment options carefully. Here the importance of returns and security are considered high with a low risk factor. A combination of many products can ensure high returns. The mix depends on the risk taking ability and liquidity comforts of the investor. Accordingly the study was conducted to understand the investment preference of senior citizen investors by taking a sample size of 206 respondents. Important variables and their interrelation were tested through framing of hypothesis. To test the hypothesis, Cramers’ V statistic was applied for comparing multiple X2 test statistics .The outcome of the study was that majority of the respondents prefer investing in non-financial Assets.
