Women Cell

The "Jyoti Mahila Samithi" in JNC has been established in order to protect women staff and students associated with the college from all sorts of injustice or sexual harassment of any nature directly and indirectly.

Objectives :

- To make women aware of their rights.

- To help them in knowing the importance of good health, nutrition and facilities available for them.

- To help them in developing decision making abilities and be self dependent.

- To help them in raising their voices against all kinds of discrimination.

- To assist them in over all development of their personality.

- To cultivate leadership skills in women.

- To create awareness about the social problems faced by women and to work for uplifting women.

- To make women realize their equal responsibility in building the society.

Activities:

- Inviting medical practitioners for delivering lectures on health issues.

- Spreading knowledge about NGOs and government organizations working for the development of women.

- Creating awareness among students regarding women icons in the society.

- Celebrating International Women's Day on 8th March every year.

- Addressing grievances of students, staff and members of society put forth before the cell.
