● The department of Hindi conducted an E-Quiz Competition on Hindi Literature and Language on the occasion of Hindi Diwas on 14th September 2023. Students with 60% and above were awarded with an E- Certificate. Around 100 students took part in it and received the certificate.
● The Department of Hindi, Jyoti Nivas College, Bengaluru, in collaboration with Canara Bank, Regional Office, Bengaluru East, observed Hindi Diwas on 20th September 2023

● On 4th March, 2024 a Guest lecture was organized by the Hindi Department on occasion of International Mother’s Language Day. Dr. Mahesh S.N, Assistant Director, DRDO was invited as the chief guest for the event.

● Capt. H K Roopa Rani was awarded with the Doctor of Philosophy degree on 22nd November 2023 from Jain (Deemed –to-be University).Capt. Dr. H K Roopa Rani was conferred with the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Hindi by Jain Deemed to be University, Bengaluru on the 22nd day of the month of November 2023. Her topic of research was " Stree Mukti Ke Prashn Aur Samkaleen Streewadi Kavita ka swar- Ek Tulanatmak Adhyayan : Sandarbh Anamika Evan Pawan Karan. In English "Questions of Women's Liberation and the Tone of contemporary feminist poetry: A comparative study, Reference Anamika and Pawan Karan.
● Dr. Roopa was issued with a letter of appreciation for judging the city level finalists’ Essays of Tata Building India School Essay competition 2023-24 in Hindi Language
● ‘Best Paper Award’ for a paper title “Bharteey Sahity Mein VividhVimarsh: Sandarbh : StreeVimarsh” 29th - 31st March 2023.
● Was awarded the Best Institution of NCC in the Senior wing ( SW ) category in Karnataka and Goa Directorate at the Annual Felicitation Ceremony of NCC for the year 2022 – 2023 on 7th February 2023.
● Honoured with ‘Rashtra Bhasha Seva Ratna Puruskar’ by ‘Kasturi Sirigannada Vedike(Regt.), Belgavi, Karnataka on on occasion of Hindi Day Celebration on 14th sep 2022 for rendering exemplary service in the field of education and promoting Hindi Language & Literature in non Hindi speaking areas.

• Roopa was awarded with ‘Best Presentation Award’ in languages on 17-18th November 2018 in a Research Retreat conducted by Jain University.
• Capt. H K Roopa Rani has been promoted from the Rank of Lieutenant to Captain on 30th October 2019. She completed her promotion course in the month of July 2015 and stood first in order of merit bagging Commandant’s Gold medal.

Lt. Roopa was awarded with the Defence Secretary's Commendation Card (Raksha Sachiv Padak) by the Ministry of Defence, New Delhi on 2nd Feb 2017.
In July 2015, she underwent a promotional course wherein she stood first in order of merit and yet again was awarded the Commandant's Gold Medal.
She also participated in the Republic Day Parade held at Delhi in 2013 and was conferred with the Honourable Chief Minister's Commendation Card ( Mukhya Mantri Padak) on 4th Feb 2014.
Awarded the Commandant's Gold Medal for commanding the parade during the prestigious Passing out Parade held at Officers Training Academy, Madhya Pradesh on 5th June 2012.
Secured 4th Rank in Master of Arts in Hindi from Bangalore University in the year 2008.
Secured the 1st Rank in Bachelor of Arts Degree from Mangalore University in the year 2006.
In the 'Mock Parliament' session conducted by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Lt. Roopa won the National award and this was conferred to her by none other than our former President of India, late Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam in the year 2005.
