The Visual Communication program at the Centre for Media Studies is your gateway to a

competitive fields of graphic design, digital media, photography, animation, and more. You'll
learn to communicate effectively through compelling visuals, mastering the art of visual

Our curriculum blends rigorous theoretical foundations with hands-on practical experience,
providing you with the tools and expertise to thrive in the ever-evolving media landscape.

your creative aspirations
• Pass in P.U.C or any other examination recognized as equivalent by Bengaluru City University.
• Minimum of 50% marks for Karnataka Students and 60% marks for outside students (aggregate) in the qualifying examination Application for admission to college must be in the prescribed form.

2. Kindly submit all the original documents (10th Standard Marks Card and 12th / II PUC Marks card, TC and Migration) along with 2 photocopies and 2 passport size photograph after the announcement of 12th/II PUC results. | ||||
3. Students belonging to SC / ST / CAT I, II A, II B, III A, III B should submit their Caste (valid for 5 years) / Income Certificate issued by the concerned authority along with 3 photocopies of the same. | ||||
4. Students belonging to Low Income Group [Rs.1,00,000/- and below Per Annum] should submit 3 photocopies of the Income Certificate. | ||||
5. In case the Government enhances the fees the same will be collected during the course of the year. | ||||

Programme objectives of the Visual Communication program are to:
1. Provide students with a strong foundation in the principles and practices of visual
communication and performing arts. This includes:
○ Equipping students with the technical skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their chosen areas of specialization.
○ Developing students' abilities to think critically about art and culture, analyze creative works, and provide constructive feedback.
○ Enhancing students' problem-solving and decision-making skills within a creative context.

Upon successful completion of the BA Visual Communication program, graduates will be able to:

■ Visual Arts: Drawing, painting, photography, digital imaging, graphic design, video production, animation.

Visual Communication:
● Graphic Designer: Create visual concepts, using computer software or by hand, to
communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers
● Web Designer: Design and create websites, ensuring they are user-friendly and visually
appealing.
● UX/UI Designer: Focus on the user experience and user interface of digital products,
ensuring they are intuitive and enjoyable to use.
● Animator: Create moving images and special effects for films, television, video games,
and other media.
● Photographer: Capture images for various purposes, including advertising, journalism,
and fine art.
● Video Editor: Edit and produce video content for television, film, and online platforms.
● Illustrator: Create illustrations for books, magazines, websites, and other media.
● Art Director: Oversee the visual style and production of creative projects, such as
advertisements, magazines, and films.
● Freelance Artist: Work independently on a variety of creative projects, such as
commissions, exhibitions, and workshops.
● Event Planner: Plan and organize events, such as festivals, concerts, and corporate
events.
● Marketing and Advertising: Work in marketing and advertising roles, utilizing creative
skills to develop campaigns and materials.
● Journalism and Media: Work as a journalist, photographer, or videographer for news
organizations and media outlets.
