Overview of MBA Programme: The MBA program at Jyoti Nivas College, Autonomous is a full-time, two-year course structured across four semesters. It features a rigorous curriculum that integrates core subjects with a selection of three electives. The first two semesters focus on core courses, building a strong academic foundation, while the next two semesters allow students to specialize in any two of three areas—Finance, Marketing, and Human Resource Management, aligning their studies with their career aspirations.
The program emphasizes experiential learning through case studies, simulations, gamification, industry projects, and field research, encouraging active participation and discussion. Students engage in real-world business case analyses, honing their critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, which are integral to the learning experience.
Beyond business knowledge, the program fosters leadership, self-awareness, and social responsibility among students. The department of MBA takes pride in its diverse and inclusive student community, which includes individuals from various academic and professional backgrounds, enriching the learning environment. Eligibility:
• Candidates who have passed Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) of Bangalore University or any recognized University, in any subject in commerce, Management, Arts, Social Science, Sciences, Engineering / Technology or equivalent and have secured not less than 50% of Marks in Bachelor’s Degree Examination in aggregate are eligible for admission to this course.
• The eligibility for admissions will be based on the aggregate of the Bachelor’s Degree marks and Entrance Test Marks (KMAT/CMAT/PGCET or any other National Eligibility Test (50:50)

The selection process for the MBA program includes multiple stages, with a key focus on a Personal Interview (PI) to assess candidates' academic background, communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and overall suitability for the program.
Candidates shortlisted for the interview must bring their original documents for verification.
These documents typically include:
• SSLC, PUC, Undergraduate degree certificate and mark sheets
• Transfer Certificate
• Valid entrance test scorecard (CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/ATMA/GMAT/GRE)
• Government-issued ID proof
• Work experience certificate (if applicable)
• Any other relevant academic or extracurricular certifications
• If results are awaited, then marks card till the last semester/year
The final selection is based on the candidate’s performance in the personal interview, entrance test score, academic achievements, and overall profile.
