When the MA English programme began in 1991, we were the first affiliate college in Bangalore to start one. For over 30 years, the graduating students have taken with them the crucial skills of analytical and critical thinking, communication, adaptability and professionalism to make careers in top colleges and organisations. Our alumna has been placed as faculty at various schools, colleges and universities in and around Bangalore – Jyoti Nivas College, Bengaluru City University, St. Joseph’s University, Kristu Jayanti deemed to be University, Mount Carmel College, Jain deemed to be university, CMRIT and many more.
But the MA English programme equips students for so much more than a career as teachers. In the last decade, the innovative and skill-oriented courses introduced, have enabled students to embark on lucrative careers as trainers, researchers, technical writers, content writers, creative writers and PR executives, with some even taking the less trodden path into entrepreneurial ventures.
The MA English programme goes beyond what a conventional degree focuses on, to ensure our graduating students are equipped to independently navigate a rapidly changing world and its demands, with grace, conviction and strength. They are our ambassadors and strongest supporters and we take pride in their growth and achievements.
