Elocution Competition in Collaboration with HAL: Celebrating Vigilance Week

On October 28, our college, in collaboration with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), hosted an insightful Elocution Competition as part of the organisation’s Vigilance Awareness Week. The event was held between in the Postgraduate Conference Hall, bringing together students from diverse postgraduate programmes to express their perspectives on themes related to integrity, accountability, and responsible citizenship. Participants from M.A., M.Com., M.Sc. Organic Chemistry, M.Sc. Mathematics, M.Sc. Biological Sciences, and M.Sc. Psychology actively took part in the competition. Each student spoke with clarity, confidence, and conviction—reflecting not only their communication skills but also their awareness of social and ethical responsibilities. Their thoughtful interpretations and well-reasoned arguments enriched the session, turning it into an engaging platform for exchanging ideas.

We are especially proud to share that students from M.Sc. Biological Sciences secured the top honours. Shilpa SS won the first prize, and Jasmine S Ammanagi secured the second prize, both impressing the judges with their articulation, depth of thought, and originality. Their achievement highlights the department’s commitment to nurturing holistic development, moving beyond academics to foster strong soft skills and public engagement. The college extends its appreciation to HAL for this meaningful collaboration and to all the participants for their enthusiastic involvement. Events like these play a vital role in encouraging students to think critically, express responsibly, and uphold the values that Vigilance Week stands for.
