Guidelines and Procedures

Attendance Policy  

Attendance is compulsory for all classes. Any absence must be approved by the concerned faculty member and a leave letter submitted to the Director’s office. Students are expected to be punctual for classes. 75 % attendance is compulsory to appear for the semester examinations.

Pass Requirements

The passing minimum for PG is 50%.

• End Semester Exam is conducted for 100 marks & Continuous Internal Assessment for 50 marks
• Total of Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA) Tests and End Semester Examination (ESE) will be consolidated to 100 marks
• Minimum marks in the Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA) Tests End Semester Examination (ESE) is 40%
• The required paper aggregate 50% (minimum aggregate of C.I.A. & E.S.E. is 50%).

A continuous evaluation system monitors performance and provides feedback to the students, on the basis of class participation, assignments, written examinations, seminars, projects, etc.
Continuous Internal Assessment consists of two written tests and a third component as decided by the department.
