Foundation for Academic Excellence and Access (FAEA) is a  Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) commited to the idea of     education, devoted to the founding of a just, productive and cultured society.  Its emphasis is on equality of opportunity to help students who come from socially and economically disadvantaged groups. And to provide access to those institutions which profess academic excellence, structures of power and economic opportunity.
 
FAEA offers scholarships (sponsored by Ford Foundation) every year to bright students from socially and economically marginalized groups to enable them to pursue higher education in the institution of their choice any where in the country.
 
 Jyoti Nivas College being an institution founded on the premises of achieving strong educational, social and moral goals to empower its students in the educational and socio-economics spheres, shares with FAEA the aspiration to create a society in which every individual with potential is recognized and is prepared to meet the challenges.
 
Jyoti Nivas College is proud to be associated with FAEA for the empoerment of scholars and identified as a nodal center for Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.As a cluster coordinate college, Jyoti Nivas with FAEA conduts a wide range of activities and skill facilitation programs aiming at the development of potentiality of scholars,wherein 76 students from Karnataka and Andhra pradesh participated and were  benefited from the 2 south Regional residential skill facilitation programs conducted by FAEA.
 
Futher, to strengthen this association JNC  welcomes more deserving students to be enrolled under this programme. The criteria for selection of deserving students are :

     1. Academic performance above 60%.

     2. Socially and economically backward category.

     3. SC/ST.

     4. Students from rural areas.

     5. Physically handicapped group.
