Welcome one and all to Jyoti Nivas College Autonomous. Nestled amidst the leafy greens of Koramangala, Jyoti Nivas College Autonomous truly stands as a milestone in chartering quality education.

Here at JNC, we believe that education is not about gathering knowledge, but broadening intellectual and social horizons. Ever since its humble yet committed beginning in 1966, JNC has emerged as a prestigious women’s institution not only in Bangalore, but in the educational map of India. It has deservingly earned an ‘A’ grade from NAAC, as also the coveted status of the Centre with Potential for Excellence. In the last 6 years, our greatest laurel has been in earning the Autonomous status. We have learnt to stand on our own feet, assumed wings of high dreams and taken flight to great heights of achievements. We believe that a socially conscious and a morally upright mind can truly aim for intellectual enlightenment. Our academic curricula are supported by learning experiences that enable personal competencies and professional skills. There are multiple activities conducted in the campus that provide ample opportunity to showcase talents, in academic and extra-academic ways. With a multitude of courses, the college encourages a holistic training; our students, as they step out of the portals of the college, after 3 years, are turned leaders, ready to take on the world.
As a Christian College for Women, we deem it our duty to transform the young tender minds of to-day to the self-assured, responsible woman of to-morrow.

This was what the legendary Hellen Keller felt about education. Even as the country struggles to secure one-third reservation for women in the Parliament, we strive forward to impart the right values in a rapidly-changing world.
The backbone of our college is our ever committed faculty. Many of them are actively engaged in research work or other scholarly activities; all are well equipped with a number of innovative methods to supplement classroom lectures. The JNC faculty is forever rising to new challenges faced by the educational world today. The role of the faculty is not limited to within the classrooms. They periodically meet the parents/guardians to keep them informed of the progress of their wards. As a college we take full responsibility in both the academic and the emotional upbringing of the students.
The JNC campus is a world unto itself. Not only do we have students from all corners of the country, but indeed from around the world. From Iran to Fiji and from Korea to Africa, JNC has truly embraced all cultures within itself. Its campus is global as a vibrant multiethnic student community.
